I started on X360 for about 3 months before upgrading to XB1. I have personally never had any pain or discomfort from playing claw. This technique is comparatively poor, as using your fingers alone to guide your mouse movement is very unreliable and I highly recommend changing to a technique listed below. The mechanics of the claw grip for controller require significantly greater activation of the first dorsal interosseous (FDI) muscle compared to the other muscles listed-making it the unquestionable leading cause of fatigue, discomfort, pain, and dysfunction using this technique. Don’t listen to people trying to scare you, but listen to your body, and if you are experiencing pain, alter your grip and make sure you do some hand exercises. i pretty much do it in most games and i would say it is a great advantage. Ive been clawing for around 4 years with little to no pain involved.

And if those people try, it WILL be uncomfortable and it WILL lead to hand problems down the line if you continue. Not everyone has large enough hands to play claw. It is very easy to develop arthritis from putting your hand through unnatural movements everyday for hours at a time. I tried it and become master in it in 6 days by practicing 1/2 hour a day. If you practice it upto 2 hours daily then It hardy takes 4–5 day to become master in claw. How long does it take to learn to play claw?
